Charlie Crist was inaugurated as Florida's 44th Governor on January 2, 2007. Governor Crist is committed to continuing to lower the cost of doing business and living in Florida, to bolstering the state's economy and safeguarding the environment and providing a world-class education for Florida's children. He is also a strong advocate of open access to government for residents. One of the first items on his agenda upon taking office was establishing the Office of Open Government by Executive Order. Governor Crist take great pride in these laws that allow every citizen the right to review or copy most any public record. The Sunshine Law also gives right of access to government proceedings at state and local levels.
